Hi lads

Ive just got an ,my04 sti with 25k on the engine.. but there is a slight problem when im accelerating hard it seems fine but if your toddling about there is a fluff like a miss or something at exactly four thousand rpm.. Any ideas as to what would cause this... Ill be sending it to a garage soon to get a full service but if i can get it sorted my self it would be better...


Also the check engine light is on but this car was purpose built and i was told that its been on since they built it which could be true but is there any way of checking what is actually causing it to come on or will i have to bring it to the garage to get it checked out??
