Default wrapping header pipes and up pipes

wrapping header pipes and up pipes can any one tell me why this is done please and what it acheives higher bhp,cooler engine i suspect

Basically, the hotter the pipes, the faster the gasses travel, the faster they travel, the quicker the turbo spools up, and as a by product, the under bonnet temps are lower.....

The faster the exhaust gases travel, also increases the scavenging effect so in theory you should get some gains there.

so whats the technique for wrapping then how much would you use, can you buy a bandage so to speak

DEI Heat Wrap is one of the best to go for. As for the technique, it's hard to get right (I didn't even try) without the right tools and if you are only doing one set maybe cheaper to get someone to do it...



...harvey (On here) did mine.
