Smile Magnex Exhaust

Hi
Wanted to fit a magnex centre pipe and back box to my classic my00 wagon.

Have just spoken to scoobyworld who have discontinued this product due to problems.

Has anyone got experience of magnex either good or bad??

Or if anyone recommends an alternative?

I wanted good sound but not megga loud as it is a family car.

Many thanks

Fastham

I have a Magnex centre section & backbox - on the car when I bought it.

No problems at all, nice sound not too loud (family man myself) and produced decent power when I had it remapped.

For me - oval 6x4 backbox and resonated centre. This coupled with a Ninja Sports Cat downpipe and JR panel filter, produces a nice sound that isn't too obtrusive especially on the motorway.

My old system (on my previous MY95 WRX) was too loud - afterburner downpipe & centre, Ninja 4.5" backbox and Green panel filter.

I've got a straight thru Magnex centre section with standard downpipe and unknown backbox not that different to a magnex. Nice grumble of it which is quiet from inside and from outside sounds great without sounding too chav or loud. I've got a Green panel filter too.
Hoping to get a decat downpipe soon t give it a bit more burble.
Mine is a Uk Turbo MY99

My mates just got a Uk turbo and was thinking about de-cating the centre section. Will it need to be re-mapped? Its already got a magnex back box on it and the rest of the car is compleatly standard including air filter and downpipe.

What does everyone think?

Has anyone had any problems if its not re-mapped?
