de cat downpipe

i've an sti v3 with kakimoto 3" s/s cat back exhaust.
i'd like to fit a de cat downpipe and i'd like to know if i need a remap after that/ will increase latent boost/ power gain?

you dont need to remap , but you would feel the benifits of doing so
