Default mech or elec????

i have a 95 sti jdm. it is still limited to 112mph. to convert the speedo from kph to mph, do i need a mechanical or electrical de-limiter? i was told by a friend electrical, i seen a car similar to mine for sale with a mechanical de-limeter/converter. thanks everyone, all the best.

Same car as mine, think it's mechanical, not done mine yet though, but Setrans do them.Just google Setrans or look on Fleabay. Sure someone will be along soon to say if im wrong

You are correct gooner, the car needs a mechanical convertor

thanks guys. i'll purchase a mechanical one after the other things on the list. gooner, coincidently i work with a couple of barnsley dudes up hear in inverness. one is an electrician the other is an ex coalman now sparks mate. karl and darren are their names. all the best for 2008
