Lightbulb Taking my WRX Central America. Advice please...

Hi All,

I will be moving to Central America (Belize/Guatemala) in the new year and will be shipping my 95 WRX import with me.

The roads are generally okay although I will have the opportunity for lots of off-road in Guatemala and Belize just to get to outlying towns and the odd mayan ruin. I have a small list of things to do already, take out the first cat and replace with straight-through, screen off all induction areas to cut down gravel etc.

As you are the experts I'd appreciate any further suggestions on the basic stuff I need to consider in order to prepare the car for its new life in the dust and heat. Help appreciated!

Parts I can have shipped from Japan, US or the UK ordering via the web. Servicing available locally although no dealer for a few hundred miles, checked on that. It won't be my main car so will get far less use than it does here. Before it goes in the container it is being completely serviced and overhauled where needed.

Are you allowed to import it without the cat /cats on.

Thought they may be quite tight on taking modded vehicles in.
