Default Headers/up pipe

Just a quick question.
Fitting a set of ceramic coated headers to my sti8. Has anyone done the same around here? If so, could you tell me whether or not you have gone for the kits with expansion joints? Been told that they are a must when purchasing headers,as gaskets tend to blow more often with the solid one piece kits! Your thoughts please...

Most good quality headers have slip joints to allow for expansion, ala GTSPEC and those available from RCMS, TSL etc. I think if you could actually see how much they expand in use you'd be very surprised
