Hi guys
New to this forum,but a ques to ask.I,ve a 06 wrx which i would like a bit louder via the back box,is the PPP box any good when you are giving it some and not too tiresome on long journeys or am i wasting my money and best go for a aftermarket one.I'm not looking for a rocket launcher one just so it sounds more meaty.

Today I fitted my Prodrive back box I got of ebay onto my bugeye, and I like the sound. Had a standard STI back box which had been fitted by the previous owner, which looked ok but no noise. Put the Prodrive one on and now have a nice burble and when driving is no way intrusive to the cabin even when giving it some. Souds more like a scooby should without being over loud.

 

So can you appreciate the sound windows open and shut?

Yes,compared to the standard backbox anyway.

Just replaced my standard STi box with the PPP one and there is an improvement.I too wanted a bit more sound but without the loud noises some give off.

Well worth it if you ask me but it's a personal thing.Some scoff at the Prodrive box as it doesn't give a LOUD burble - just right though IMHO.
