My local garage had fun with mine, they said its because of the thread that the Japs use, after prolonged use and especially where they are, the nuts can be a bitch to undo and on mine one had been sheared off by previous owner

Used a dremil to cut nut off carefully with the help of small chisel and hammer , then cleaned stud thread with a die and got some new nuts was worried of snapping stud off the turbo and causing more grief .

I had to cut mine off with a air grinder because they had welded to the bolts so had to reddenthe bolts with oxy acetylene then wind them out of the turbo with a vice grips and put new bolts in, worst job i have had to do on the car by far!!
