TSL Downpipe

TSL Downpipe
I have purchased a complete exhaust system to fit my MY98 Subaru Impreza, the system consists of
TSL Sports Cat downpipe,TSL straight through centre section and TSL Back Box, They all look good quality, but my concern is that the downpipe size at the join to the centre section seems very small and not 2.5” like the rest of the pipework. Is this going to be sufficient for a slightly modded impreza.
Any help on this would be appreciated, i dont want to fit this if going to strangle the performance.

Hi mate,
I've got a my98 uk turbo, which goes to TSL Motorsport for all service work....although i carry out as many mods and repairs as i can do. Anyway, i've got a TSL GRP N backbox and TSL De-cat centre section (both 2.5 inch) which are then mated to a Revolution De cat downpipe (which is 3 inch). I had to buy a flange adapter from revolution to step it down to 2.5 inch to mate to TSL centre section. The sound it gives is awesome (especially turbo whistle), and the power gains, although not proven on a dyno, are definatley noticable and i haven't even had it remapped. So don't worry about lack of performance, get it whacked on an ENJOY!
