Default Lambda Sensor

Hi guys, just a quick question; im trying to change the lambda sensor but its a bugger to get the old one of any suggestions on best way to do this ?

do you need to jack the car up and do it from underneath or is it ok from under the bonnet?

I have tried and there is so little room to manouver a spanner from under the bonnet.

Best from underneath if the one on my wagon was anything to go by.
Actually needed to resort to a gas torch to heat things up a bit(good job the sensor was fooked really ) before the bugger came out!!
