why doesnt it work

Default why doesnt it work

when i connect the black plugs and the green plugs under the dash to get the fault codes nothing happens on the dash! i read that it should flash the check engine light? my car isnt starting so i have faults,should this not flash? why isnt it working? 94 wrx saloon import. thanx, jamie

yeah, ignition switched on and dash lights r on! is this correct?

I think so. I didn't pay too much attention the last time my fault codes were checked.

Just connect the black plugs and turn the ignition on for the warning liughts.

Conect just the green ones and the car does a self test.. connect them both, press accelerator down for a few seconds, start the engine,go for a drive and this will reset the ecu..

I have a 1996 wrx import and i had a look under my dash under the steering column one day to try to find these black plugs but there is that many wires under there i gave up which ones are there anyone got any pictures?
