just wondering....is mapping really needed when adding a bigger turbo and bigger exhaust and decat????

 

simple answer ...yes. a bigger turbo will flow more air and probably slightly higher in the rev range, especially if combined with a decat exhaust.if your fueling,ignition and boost levels are not altered to compensate for this, your engine will probably run very lean, and goodbye pistons.
