Question

Need some help.

I'm thinking of getting the centre pod with either 2 or 3 gauges as per the GG web site. What i'm not sure about is what gauges to go for ? To me a Voltmeter isn't of great interest whereas a oil temp/pressure, water temp? and boost would be. For those that have got these, what do you think and what gauges do you have ? Would you get the same again. I remember Bob Iles had a digital boost gauge which seemed a good idea as some of the analogue ones look a bit difficult to read on the move and don't have a recall facility.

Any advive gratefully revceived. I remember a while back there were a lot of talk about Defi gauges and group deals ?? As search is not available maybe someone could enlighten me on that as well.

Also, is this something that would be feasable for me to fit. ?

Thanks

Steve.

Cool

Hi Steve,
I looked at the options also a while back when i decided to change my subaru boost gauge, the SPA digital gauges look very good but seemed a bit more involved to fit.
I got Tileys to fit a Defi boost gauge which came complete with a control unit which allows you to program and record various options .. peak boost, overboost etc.. the same unit can also control several other gauges once they have been fitted, Tileys are also going to fit Oil Pressure and Oil Temp. gauges for me.
The quality of the Defi kit is excellent.

Had the same dilemma in the summer, opted for a Scoobymania centre pod with Autometer boost, oil temp & oil pressure. I think the whole lot inc fitting kits was under 300 quid and I'd do the same again, excellent kit and hundreds cheaper than the defis but you get what you pay for.

Thanks for the replies.

Do the Autometer (boost)gauges have a "max" recall on them ? and do they illuminate at night ? to the same colour as the rest of the dash ?

Sorry for all the questions but i only want to doi this once.

Thanks

Steve.

They don't have a max recall (nothing does at that price), and they do illuminate at night (choice of 3 colours).
