Default Raer brake problems

Anyone else have problems running big brakes on the front and standard ones on the rear, I have godspeed 335mm fronts with standard type RA rears (vented with single piston sliding caliper) Under hard braking the back goes light, when braking hard just before turning in it tries to get away from you. It has tried to swop ends several times, it did it this morning when I had to brake hard in a straight line on a greasy road, I just managed to save it through good luck rather than skill.

I have some new cross drilled discs and green stuff pads for the rear which I keep meaning to fit, would fitting some 2 pots help balance things out ??

I have similar problem with same set up, my car is pulling to right under heavy breaking as well!!! Going to strip calipers at the weekend (to make sure passenger side caliper is working right) and thinking of fitting brembo 2 pots to the rear along with a brake stop.

Has the geometry been set-up to do this, or were the brakes o.k. before fitting the Godspeed kit ?

Rick at REMotorsport set mine up so as you come off the brakes and turn in the back-end slides nicely.... A bit twitchy in the wet tho'.

P.S. Fitted DS2500 to the rear of mine recently and it stops better, might be enough to calm things down. Or is the frontend diving heavily under braking ?

As crazy as it may sound, upgrading the rears is the way to help this problem, i found that the rear of the car kind of pulls itself down, as it brakes....... mine felt totally different when i did the rear pads..... 335 fronts aswell!!!

No geo was set up to standard specs, no nose dive just seems to go light at the rear when braking hard. I have some green stuff pads that may help, if not I will fit some 2 pots.

Did you change the calipers? I have some new pads and discs to go on but may add some brembos or subaru 2 pots to even things out a tad.
