Unless you have been thrashing the life out of it right up until you stop, then you can pretty much turn it off straight away, modern water cooled turbo's do not suffer like old oil cooled ones.

Spray whenever you like, I think it's a bit of a gimmick as it rarely changes intake temperatures, Might make it drop by 1 deg if your lucky.

I thought it was pretty straight forward in the manual, cant remember exactly but you have to put your security code in followed by the # and a number?

On my impreza, (may not be the same as yours)

Is different to how I first thought.

The book says, turn the Ignition on, press the key fob button, then press 4 on your keypad (inside the glovebox), and immediately turn ignition off.

this turns Auto lock on, to turn Autolock off, you do the same as above but press 5 on the keypad instead of 4.
