What the hell does an induction kit do? I've heard good things about them and I've been thinking about getting one as an improvement to performance without major modification to the engine. The problem is that no-one can give me an understandable explanation of what it does.
I'm not a techy so a simple explanation would suffice but there's got to be to it than "it gets rid of bad air" ,which is an explanation given to me by a rep on a stand at the Autosport show.

Info. appreciated.

Cheers
Neil

Basicly, an induction kit is a cone that replaces the airbox.

The indduction kit can draw alot more air into the engine than the standard airbox could, this will improve throttle response, give you a couple of bhp more, make a lovley roaring/sucking noise when driving...

Be warned though, adding an induction kit will release the sound of the cars standard dumpvalve, you will then sound like a boy racer!

Hope this helps

I fitted a Superpower flow filter(HKS)on my evo4,what a difference!
The noise is superb,a real good sucker.on liftoff and between gear changes the standard dumpvalve chuffs away. Its not like a real noisy atmos blowoff, just a nice loudness.
The car feels a lot more responsive.
I dont know how it will perform come summer when its blazing hot air and under bonnet temps. Will have to see.
