Is there some diferences betwen 07 and 06 ECU. My friend (with STI 07) try to do some EcuTek remap but tuner said that he must check if that possible on his ECU.

 

All newage ECU's can be re-mapped with EcuTeK

There are some differences between the ECU's (fly by wire throttle on the 07 etc) but no problems to map.

Personally I'd want to know that the tuner doing the work knew what he was doing (to the point where he knew if he could do the work on the ECU first without wondering if the 07 was the same as the 06)

 

Well, he done many Subarus until now and he is only one with EcuTek licence, but this one STI is first 07. O.k., new information is that remap is possible and they will do remap next week. You must know that here in Croatia is not so many Imprezas.
