Modifying Air Filter
Right, I have a 1994 WRX, I was thinking of going for an induction kit, but I've read far too many reasons not too so I'm sticking with my Green Panel. Though is there a way I can just get a bit more air from outside, is it as simple as getting an air feed pipe into the box to outside the car?
Any ideas for this, just want to help the filter out!!

Remove the airbox completely, car will breath great.. did this on my old omega 3.0 v6 for a week.. it sounded awsome and went like stink. However i was about to scrap her due to it being nackered..
So I wouldn't recomend on a car you want to run for more than a week

I found that removing the resonator on its own dropped power noticably on an STi 3 Wagon. There was more noise and roar but less power as measured on DD rollers on two sepatate trials on consecutive days.
I suspect that the air flow over the MAF Sensor was disrupted.
I also believe that on a Classic it is best to stay with the O/E airbox until over 350 bhp and a bit more on the New Age cars.
