Tyre squeal in a straight line??
Hi
I got some freebie tickets for a trackday at Donington, and since my regular trackday car is too loud for their noise regs I took the Scooby (MY04 WRX PPP). Totally standard apart from the PPP, so standard twin-pots up front on regular pads (which had no chance of stopping me well at Goddards but that's another matter!)
Anyway before the track day I had to get some new tyres on the back because I found 2 nails! But having done the video I have what sounds like tyre squeal under power on the straights!

I'm wondering if it could be something to do with new tyres back vs part worn front, and the centre-diff not compensating as I would expect it to? If not, any other suggestions? I don't think I have any tracking issues, certainly no sign of uneven wear on any tyres. I'll have to test it tonight on the motorway to see if it happens "normally" but it's certainly something I haven't noticed before.
Cheers, Sy
