Default diagnostics how do you check them

how do you get the CEL to show up. iv been told about plugging connectors together to check to see if my MAF is working corectly as i think it is faulty where are the conections?

error codes but what year is it, and it is unusual to get an error code for the MAF even when failed.. what is the problem that makes you think it is a faulty maf.. they only generally fail on the 99 and 00 cars.. usually by stalling or nearly stalling and hunting idle..

its ok iv been told a lot of rubbish off one of my mates. i did what you said i was the guy with the 96 uk wagon with the jerking problem at 4-5 rpm changed the coil pack runs sweet now thanks for your vast knowlage
