Gap between AC and rad

Gap between AC and rad
Has anyone plugged the gap between the sides of the rad and AC rad on a new age? It seems a bit daft having a gap either side to allow air flow out and not force it through the fins.
I've already got one of those top plates but nothing for the sides...
