i asked this to a remapper myself and he said they (dealers) can't tell from the ecu if its been remapped as they only have a reader i.e for faults so that would be ok but they might notice parts been changed i.e downpipe, de cat pipe, fuel pump and an increase in boost. so depends what your dealer says about parts as they can effect your warranty. but you can always keep standard parts should you need to make a claim so they only have it as standard looking and have your mapper do a second boost setting thats same as standard so feels the same when driven

Unless the dealer has the software to download the binary and the knowledge to read and understand it they wouldn't know.
Although let's say a warrenty claim had to be made we 'could' reinstall the original map, this service if free too all our customers

We (Renault Dealer) can tell when an ECU was reprogrammed and what part number firmware was used but only if it specifically checked, it's not something that jumps out at you on a general diagnostic check (Unless the Customer leaves a spare ECU in the boot ). So if Subaru have similar diagnostic software then I guess they could see some sort of history.
