04 spec c boost

Default 04 spec c boost

Hi guys,im new to the site and ive had a good look around for info everywhere so please dont eat me if i have missed it.I have a 04 spec c and the boost gauge is reading 1.4 kpa at high boost.Is this normal and is kpa the same as bar? Dont want choclate pistons!! Please help.thanks

I had my totally standard spec c on the rollers today at powerstation and it peaked at 1.3 bar tailing off to 1 bar so id say its pretty normal

Thanks man thats a load off my mind.My one is completely standard too.8000kms on her.what power and torque did yours produce?

Mine peaks at 1.6 bar and levels out to 1.4 bar no problem thanks to powerstation.

It produced 319 bhp corrected to 310.1 and 294 lbft which i thought was very satisfactory for a totally standard car

Around the same as mine was standard TC, now after a PS tweek its around the 350 mark...

Im just getting the bits together Steve then throwing it all on and getting a Bob remap then back to PS for a comparison run

Thats a good bit of power for a standard car.hope mine is around the same when i get mine tested.Thanks again lads for the info

The pistons aint chocolate on these but you NEED to run it on the best fuel available or have the car remapped for your 95 ron otherwise it will just retard itself down to limp mode! (they are designed to run 100-102 ron fuel).
Power differs, book states 280ps/290lbs of torque, mine ran (on jap spec fuel with a panel filter) 316bhp and 340lbs of torque.

My Spec C turned out 294bhp when it was standard ... just depends where you get the car RR'd. No longer standard though

These Spec C engine's are very strong mine is running well over 400bhp on pump fuel and well over 450bhp on race fuel running 1.6bar peak tailing off to 1.53bar to the redline
