Ive just turned 21 and I was thinking of getting a new car. Ive always licked the scoobys but ive never looked into getting one because of the insurance.
But now that im a little bit older its possible for me to get my foot on the ladder with the gx sport.
I know there power isnt much differnt to say a 2.0 vectra but im driving a 1.6 mk4 golf at the mo so it is a step in the right direction for me.

I did look into the insurance for the wrx but my best quote was £5500
An my best quote for the gx sport was £950, thats with 4 year nc bonus.

So anyway I was wandering what I can do with the gx?
Obviously a de-cat an good filter will improve it a little but what about a new ecu, do they make much for the gx sports?

I would be happy if I could get it to about 150/160bhp
125 is just too pathetic for a impreza.

not a lot you can do to them matey

work on the handling, springs, arb's, geometry etc etc and some decent brakes, and while it won't be the quickest car in the world but it will show a few 'better' cars a thing or two in the bends

The WRX is an import so it's going to be a ******* to insure anyway. Have you been quoted for the UK turbo?

An I will try and get a few more quotes for different models, but I live in liverpool with no drive way or garage so am not gna get my hopes up but il give it a try.
