What max bhp from a vf35?
Just wondered what is the maximum bhp anyone has ever seen on a car using a vf35?
Mine made 347bhp on last rolling road, was kinda hoping for another 10

What I'd like to know from all these claims of 350bhp out of a VF35, is what was the power at the WHEELS. I basically don't believe any flywheel power figures to be accurate, not even to 10 bhp and certainly not to 0.4! What you put down on the road is what counts.

What make of dyno ? what surface finish on the rollers ? what pitch of roller ? what diameter of roller ? what make of tyres ? what size of tyres ? what sidewall construction ? what depth of tread ? what grade of gearbox oil ? what temperature of transmission ? what tyre pressure ? what tension on the tie downs, what weight of car ? what gear and diff ratio ? 5 or 6 speed box ? straight cut or helical gears ?
All these factors and many more will influence the power as measured at the wheels. Most of them are taken into consideration, at least in some way, when doing the back calculation to get a flywheel figure.
I can run the same car at 2 rolling roads local to me and within 5 miles of each other, both show within 10bhp flywheel but differ by over 50bhp at the wheels (Dastek v MAHA)
Believe me, wheel figures can be far more misleading than calculated flywheel figures.

not saying that was accurate just saying what i got on that day !
plus its not what your car puts down its how the car uses it ,and imho torque figures are more important the all out bhp
as my friends evo 6 rally car produces 340 bhp and 520 lbs of torque

They were Delta Dash figures but from the last RR tune I had gave 320hp 302lbs/ft, then I had an AFP Remap, the car feels alot faster and there the figures the Delta Dash gave.

I know what you mean about torque, but it's not more important than power. A car with all power and little torque will be fast. A car with all torque and little power will be slow. If your friends Evo made 520bhp and 340lb/ft torque instead of the way round it is at the moment, it would be quicker, a lot quicker. Presumably it's set up like that because it's restricted to a certain power level being a rally car, so that sort of high torque tune will give more pace outright, but if it was allowed to be the other way round, surely it would be?
