Another thing, Im going from silkolene pro s 10/50 to Mobil 1 15/50 Is this a mega downgrade or will I run into problems or see improvment, I cant see there being any problems but thought Id ask

Cheers Guys.

Going to go to the dealer and get a proper one, worth the drive if aftermarket ones leak.

That must have been a one off, bad example. I've been using Purolator filters (from Opie oils) with no problems whatsoever. Using a known make, aftermarket filter should be no problem. Remember to fill it before you fit it!

The only reason it would leak is if the rubber seal had a problem?
I've seen filters that leaked, only to find that the gorilla that fitted it, did it up too tight until the rim of the filter touched the mounting face! = overcompressed seal.
