i,ve connected the 2 wires together under the dash but when i turn on the ignition the check light flashes continually and won,t give me a code even though there is a problem because the engine check light is on when driving.is there some sort of procedure ishould follow to make this work? the car is a 02 plate sti. also could some one tell me which is the positive signal wire on the lamba sensor is it the blue one or the white thanks dean.

there is no black connectors on 02 for the error codes only the green test mode connectors... you need obd2 equipment to read the code
