oil coolers ect
well i've got a mocal type cooler, the thing i'm bothered about is. i've got a thirmastaticly controled sandwich plate.
what i'm bothered about is, unless the oil is warm/hot. the valve is closed, know in this time there is no flow of oil to the engine.
am i right in saying this, or will this not be a problem
+ another thing i need to find out, is there anywhere rlse on the engine to put the oil presure conection. at the min, its conected to a sandwich plate
advice on both of these issues would be great

I think that the oil thermostat will just shut off flow to the oil cooler not shut off flow to the whole engine. wouldnt be very good if it did that would it.
Also, I fitted my oil pressure sensor in the place of the OE oil pressure switch using a couple of t-pieces... they look like blocks of brass with a couple of holes to screw in the OE pressure switch and a new pressure sender.

when the thermostat is closed there should be no oil flow through the cooler but still through the engine.. if there wasn't you would have known about it the first time you used the car with it on.. ie. a loud clanging noise..

No, it is the other way around The little hole is for oil to flow through the oil cooler until the thermostat opens, I guess to prevent air locks.
