Induction pipe
Hi
Hope someone here understands what im talking about
I have only just noticed that a few of the cars here have a shorter/straighter induction pipe to their aftermarket filters....it looks pretty syandard just in a different place.
Mine for example being pretty standard has the pipe coming from the turbo and under the inlet manifold and out at 90deg to the filter.....but others come straight out before the manifold?
Is this a different induction pipe and does it make a whole lot of difference...(shorter straighter airflow etc) or can the standard one be modified.
Hope someone here understands what im talking about

Yep, I think I know what you mean. From '97 onwards, subaru revised the induction system to suit a straight-entry compressor housing. They lengthened the intake runners and routed the induction pipe under the manifold, - which sounds like the setup you've got.

Mark you right I have a 98 model.....So best to leave it as it is then?
Not that I was going to change/mess with it just wondered why other cars had the different pipework and thought it was a modification.... I should read up on the model differences more I guess..
Cheers guys!
