Default major problem ( i think)-

ive been having problems with water hoses bursting , now i thought i may have had a part blocked rad as it was llways the bottom rad hose that blew... but ive flushed the rad out and rinsed it through and it flows fine..

now last night i was out in the car for about ten miles, when i got to my destination i could hear a hissing coming from under the bonnet , so on inspection it was coming from the coolant cap. and this is when i noticed the problem. the water hoses seem to be under sooo much pressure when the engine is off after a run . they were all that hard i couldnt even squeeze them . you could see where the were bulging to the verge of bursting ..

any idea whats causing this ... head gasket maybe?

its a uk classic turbo btw
