Default Cam => Shim Clearance Help

After rebuilding my engine I was left with a tappety noise and I am going to check my cam => shim spacing as its the only thing I have not checked/changed.

I used the manual to make sure I was doing it correctly and these are the results i got when the engine was cold.

Intake

Spacing should be 0.20mm, +0.04mm/-0.06mm => Max 0.24mm/Min 0.14mm

All my intakes clearances were between 0.152mm and 0.190mm so I guess they were all ok.

Exhaust

Spacing should be 0.35mm +/- 0.05m => Max 0.40mm/Min 0.30mm

All my exhaust clearances were between 0.178mm and 0.190mm so I guess these are out by quite a bit and I will need to reshim them. That procedure I think I can manage.

I was just after a second opinion before I go taking the belt, cams off etc.

Thanks in advance.

Chris..
