looking from under neth the car running along the front of engine theres a exhaust pipe is that the up pipe ? does that link the turbo and manifold ? does that contain another cat/pre cat ?
if i replace that with the hks up pipe will i feel any power increase/benifits/ louder ?

you don't mention age of car, but what you are describing is the 'link' pipe between the two head exhaust manifolds, complete they are commonly referred to as the "headers"

the 'up-pipe' is after the collector on the drivers side, between the cast manifold part and the base of the turbo (up the side of the cam covers)

Only the later cars had cat's in them. if you replace with the hks one, it depends on the pipe weather you will improve or loose when the turbo spools up

they say a 25 bhp increase what you think ? iv got 93 wrx import
