TD05 question/advice

Would a TD0516g from an evo3 fit the wrx bugeye.

No. The flanges and orientation will probably be different.

I think you could probably convert it but by the time you'd done it, you'd have wiped out any saving you would have made. If you just want a standard TD05-16G with front entry, look at US websites and buy direct from the States. Mine was something like £350 all in.
