Default Cambelt change on a WRX 1995...

On average how much have you paid for a cambelt change?

And around what mileage should it be done?

Also, does any1 recommd any1 in sw (brsitol) area on a place where they have had theirs done with a good job?

Thanks

About £200 for mine i had it done when the car was imported at 56000km just for my piece of mind.
There's a guy on here called dan83590 i think he's near Bristol might be able to help find a good place.

You can seriously cut the cost if you don't mind getting your hands dirty... A good place to source the belt is from Graham Goode racing and any reasonably competent mechanic can do it - just check the tensioner and don't compress it with too much force. I believe that the cam belt is identical to an Audi V6 belt.... Strange, huh?

Indeed i had to replace the tensioner and idlers and that wasn't cheap (could have taken a risk that some of the idlers were alright but decided not too)

No offence but your cars getting on a bit too, like mine.

Hows the oil pressure ? If you need a new oil pump do it now as you have to take cambelt off to change it anyway. Mine will probably be done next time.

Cam belt should be every 45K or 3years
