Default Engine swap V3 to a STI V8 ENGINE?

Hey guys, I've just come across a great priced STI V8 engine and I have been thinking about buying a V3 Type RA with high mileage and swapping the engine. What else would I need to do a complete swap? The V8 engine comes with the ECU, wiring harness, clutch and flywheel. It is slightly damaged from a front collision, but should be easy to have repaired.

I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks allot.

Here's the V8 engine:

does that engine have individual coil packs? from the last picture it looks like it does and I am sure a v8 would have a single coil and leads.

Make sure they throw in the MAP, MAF sensor & Boost solenoid etc with the loom.

I think the easiest way would be to split the long engine (looks like you need to check for bent valves) and stick the short engine into the V3 and use the v3 heads / manifold etc

that cam pulley is smashed watch they havent just fitted another belt to it or you could be in for some real trouble and big bills when you go to turn it over

If you have the loom and ecu, you would be stupid not to use it , the V8 has far better heads (larger ports, better flowing) and has the AVCS which = MORE POWER.

I would pull the left hand head - you are bound to have bent valves on it.
Also,if that left head is fire damaged, you might have more problems.

Thanks allot, really appreciate all the feedback.

After some of the things mentioned I'm having second thoughts... I think I'll just wait till I find a good condition Typer R or RA with low km's. I'll post pics as soon as I find a good one.
Cheers.
