CEL 32 Lambda sensor code....
How do!
I had the CEL flash up yesterday as the engine was warming up. Turned out there were two codes stored,
11 = Crankshaft Position Sensor
32 = O2 sensor
I know there is a sensor in the downpipe but is there any more located anywhere else as a code 32 could be one of three sensors,
32A/F Sensor #1 System 32A/F Sensor #2 System 32Oxygen Sensor
How do I know which one needs replacing?
Car is a 1999 STI Version 5.
Also why would a crankshaft sensor pop up? Would it just need cleaning or does that need replacing as well?
Thanks for your help.

As far as I am aware there is only 1 o2 sensor & thats fitted behind the turbo & on dp.
The crank sensor could be a old stored code. Might be worth resetting the ecu to see if it show up again. No harm in cleaning it. However if it is failing sensor you could end up with a non starting issue?

Sometimes it does struggle to start. It keeps turning but wont fire, then I'll stop cranking it, turn the key again & it starts straight up. It does this very very rarely & I have put up with it for almost a year now.
Are all crankshaft sensors the same for all classics?
