Also, if it's a nut you could try one of those nut splitters (I've had mixed success with them). What's access like to the bolts?

Drill the stuburn wee ******* out or grind them or as neil says burn them off we had to do all three when changing the headers and uppipe on my wrx

Only 3 bolts hold the turbo in place the other 2 are for support brackets so you might be able to undo them at the engine block then worry about getting the others out

It's the up-pipe brackets that are held on to the block. Some downpipes are held onto the gearbox casing with a bracket, but this bracket is not close to the turbo.

I'd split the nuts personally, either with a dremel (use cutting disc to cut a slot in the nut in a couple of places and then use a chisel or a screwdriver to pry the bits off) or with a nut splitter.

Cheers for the replys, some good ideas there, I ended up buying a set of the nut remover sockets which are a good bit of kit, I wasnt sure what to make of the nut splitters, they were the bolts on the downpipe from the turbo and I did resort to a bit of drilling and chiseling but all is good now, just got to get a couple of m10 flange nuts with a 1.25 thread pitch, anyone know where to get some from? Once again cheers for the help
