Apexi bov

I got an apexi bov fitted(was already on there when i bought the car) it has an allen bolt with a lock nut on the front what does it do? dont really want to start fiddiling if its going to wreck summin.

makes it open earlier or later depending on screwing it in and out. my advise is to leave it alone.
