Hi guys and girls

Maybe a slight problem.

I got a slight problem about 5 months ago i had like a very oily smell comming from the exhaust and just after there was smoking comming from the turbo area. Which i thought was not good took it was a little drive and cleared. Thank god


Just over the last week. i noticed that my car is fine when running. I pulled into tesco girl wanted to go shopping i thought i pop the bonnet and have a look..... again this sunday the turbo was smoking not a lot but stunk of burning oil..... Everytime i pull over now its fine leave it for about 10-15 mins idling and its appaers to start puffing???
I am thinking the turbo dieing on me.
UK Classic car Running TD04 with 291bhp. (Pushing on that power i know)

Every now and then the turbo might not be smoking but sometimes the turbo sort of smells like burning oil......

Trying to get a VF28 to source to see if its sorts the problem.

Hi mate, sounds like it could just be the drivers side rocker cover gasket

 

Even if the tail pipe is smoking????? Like burning oil?????? blue ish greyish smoke...

I think my turbo is shagged...........

 

Ah right, i didnt realise you meant from smoke from the tail pipe,in that case it does sound as if your turbo is on its way...
