I have STi 7 rims on my MY00 classic as I have STi 7 Brembo brakes fitted aswell, my car is lowered 40mm at the front and I have 215/40/17 tyres fitted.

There is no rubbing on either lock and no rubbing when the car bounces or corners hard.

45's will not fit with my current setup as they don't fit in the arches.

not up on this new fangled UK registration system but if 54 is 2004 then that will be an STi 7 or 8. it is the 2006 STi that has different PCD.

HTH

Steve

I have newage WRX alloys on my classic. 225/45/17. I was told that they should be on a classic as they will rub. But mine never have. If yours is lowered like Wurzels, then you might be better off with 225/40's.

I have them on my 1995 WRX with standard shoks and springs, I did have them on with the 225 45 17 tyres on them for a bit and they only rubbed when cornering very hard not on full lock at all but they were very very close to the struts on the rear. I now have them with 215 45 17 tyres on them and they still rub a bit when cornering very fast but only on the front. I am going to get some stiffer springs and shoks i think.
