Default Building an engine....

What special tools are required, for stripping and rebuilding a boxer engine, and are there any procedures available online?

Facilities available to me are basic tools, vices, work benches, and metal working gear.

Just a thought, as I travel a lot so I can't have my engine in pieces, but if i were to build one at work, when/if its finished it could then be sent for fitting.

Another option, rather than paying for someone else to do it, although thats what I've done with mods in the past as its easier to lob someone the cash and let them have all the headaches of fitting parts

Cheers
Dill

Cheers for reply, I was at a garage the other day and saw them putting valves back in with a special spring compressor, apart from those and fitting piston rings I can't think of too many, but I've never done it before.

Just weighing up pro's and cons before I decide, if I need one in the 1st place that is.
