Default Exhaust vibration

I picked up my new impreza just over a month ago and since i got it there seems to be a load of vibration in the exhaust when slowing down without any gas, it has the sporty sound but when in the car it souns like its making the whole car vibrate. Could it be fitted wrong? or need tightening, it doesnt feel loose to hand but theres definatley too much vibration, my mate sat in the back and he said it felt like he was sitting on the exhaust it was that bad.

any ideas??

many thanks

Dave

Have you been under the car to check it over?

Has it always felt like this or has it just started??

it has been suggested to me that maybe its the heat shield and i think it could be that which is vibrating alot. is it essential to have the heat shield or can i take it off?
