Default Common Classic Problems

I have a 1994 Impreza turbo and recently i have noticed a drop in performance, it is still hitting target boost but has definately lost power i get the odd smell of fuel but cannot see any dripping are there any common problems with the fuel system on these cars eg any places to check that might be leaking as this would explain my problems

do a CEL test and see if you have any errors stored.

Check the fuel pressure regulator located on the drivers side just in front of the turbo, sometimes the 'o' ring can perish causing a small fuell leak. Also check all the fuel hoses as sometimes fuel can trickle out out of the end of one of the hoses if its perished or not tightened up enough.I have to do mine this afternoon, bloody cars
