Default premium silver paint match help.

ive had my bonnet painted on my premium silver newage but im having trouble getting the paint to match the guy who done the painting is pretty good and only uses dupoint paint but has tried all 3 alt shades with no match. has anyone else had this prob with premium silver?

i know silver is a hard colour to get right but the colour is quite far out.

im in the midlands/staffs if anyone knows of a good bodyshop that would be able to help.

any good bodyshop would find the best variant and blend into the wings to achieve an undetectable paint match.

ive taken it to the best bodyshop in staffs (apparently) who is painting most of the car to get it right.

he did blow it onto the wings but it looked like a shadow.

[quote=gillyz20let;7172542]ive taken it to the best bodyshop in staffs (apparently) apparently not, if he's got the best variant should be easily blended over the wings, not always easy to loose some silvers down the side without doing whole side, but thats vary rare (once in 17yrs) on a nissan primastar van of all things.

i also had that problem with my gunmetal silver. i had the paint matched up from 2 different places and its sposed to be the right paint. it just looks too dark. you can only notice it at certain angles though. otherwise it looks fine. i did find that putting on lots more lacker did help alot as it seemed to make it alot lighter (only at the dodgie angle, rest stayed same). i got a bit fed up with it though and just gonna spray the whole car soon with something a bit more funky.
