I guess it's more of a case of matching the ports, between the cast sections of the headers. I'll be doing my set soon. I might post a few pics up

You need to Match the ports on the headers to that on the gasket, but don’t exceed the gasket line and make it a free flowing as possible.

Would you need a re-map after doing this or is it not major enough to cause any problems, obviously a re-map might get more out of it but would it do any harm to the engine?

Someone once told me a re-map was not needed for changing the headers to SS but not sure if thats right?

Cheers,
Gaz

No a remap wouldn’t be necessary if just porting the oe headers, however to get the most gains from after market headers it’s advisable to be mapped

Follow the advise as above for standard headers but if you are going to change to tubular headers then a reamp is advised. My map need a quite a bit more fuel put in to match the new air flow.
