Clutch Judder / Shudder

Clutch Judder / Shudder
Just recently been getting this judder problem with my Impreza clutch that appears to be a known problem with Subaru after searching around the forum. What I didnt manage to discover though was a solution other than just replacing the clutch plate and flywheel only for it to do it again. Has anyone - or Subaru - found a way to solve this problem which seems to be due to bad alignment from the factory?
As far as Im aware, the clutch on my MY51 WRX has never been changed. Its currently on 40k miles.
If theres no long term solution, guess I'll have to cough up the dosh and get it repaired with like for like parts and hope it stands the test of time cos Im sure its getting worse and its driving me bonkers.

When changing the clutch, you need to get the flywheel skimmed. this can be done for circa 30 from a local engineering company. Wouldn't have thought it was down to alignment, more warping slightly(less likely) or a build up of clutch material stuck to the surface (more likely)

The clutch is fooked. Had the same on my car. Only changed the clutch, didn't do anything to the flywheel and its fine and has been for a year. This flywheel thing can happen but you'd have to be pretty dammed unlucky.

my 03 wrx clutch juddered badly at 36000 miles. when i had new clutch fitted it was found that the flywheel was in bad shape and had loads of hairline cracks. new clutch and flywheel cured it!

I had the probelm on my 97 car, changed to aftermarket clutch - Borg & Beck and no judder afterwards.
I seem to remember Subaru's 'own' clutch plate seems more prone to this from when I searched Scoobynet.
