Question Help a idiot

Hi

Does anybody know how to get the Tiss/hissing sound I think its when changing gear or accelerating just after changing gear. (sorry if this sounds as completley stupid as i think it sounds)

Is this just possible on turbo's or could a sport do this ?

You can only get this on a turbo as it is a dump valve/blow off valve that makes the noise. All turbo cars have dump valves in them but they are normally re-circulating ones, the ones that make a hissing sound is a vent-to-air and it happens when you take your foot off the gas and release the boost preasure in to the air hence when you change gear. the re-circ valves release the pressure back in to the air intake system.

Hope this helps
