hi guys

just fitted a sti intercooler v8, to my 2.5 wrx. but i cant line the passenger bracket with the intercooler, the intercooler is sitting about an inch away from the hole in the bracket. the drivers bracket lines up.

tried re fitting it, but still the same. i have the bracket from my wrx and the sti intercooler, which are the same, so cant be the bracket to short.

any idea what it could be, the hoses for the turbo and the throttle body line up ok.

Ok, can anyone confirm if the sti intercooler from a 2.0 sti V8 is the same size as the sti intercooler on a 2.5 sti v10.

 

is this the bracket bolted to the gearbox? ie. the sti has the wider 6speed..
you need to bend the bracket..

 

The blobeye version has a bigger surface area. The front to back dimension is narrower on the Hawkeye STi IC as the fly by wire throttle body is deeper and would foul on the larger IC version.

 

well it seem to all fit without fouling any other parts, its just the bracket on the passenger side, the one that comes off the top of the inlet manifold does not meet up with the bracket on the intercooler, the one on the gearbox lines up.

seems to fit ok aswell, alot have people have told me it will fit.
