Question EMISSIONS PROBLEM (FAILED MOT)

can anyone give me some clues what to do.

put my 93 wrx in for mot yesterday failed on number plates letters too big and not spaced out enough.no fog light due to being a import. and the emissions pretty bad.

the mot tester put it through the test and come out very bad.so he then put it onto a extra test then started to come out abit better but no still failed.

if anyone has had similar problem please feel free to PM me

assuming you have the cats on there..?

often on the 93 the lambda sensor which is in the headers fails.. the headers get too hot for the sensor to survive for a long period..

First port of call would be a replacement lambda sensor.
